Gregory Shenkman was until July 2007, a global partner at the Rothschild Investment Banking Group and the Managing Director with responsibility for Japan and the Benelux countries. He has over 34 years experience in investment banking including management, corporate finance, advisory, debt and equity capital markets and equity brokerage business. He established, and was the head of, the investment banking business in Japan of the Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) and was later also head of Kleinwort Benson in Japan. He subsequently became the global head of privatisation at Kleinwort Benson. From 2000 to mid 2004, he was the head of Rothschild's Asian investment banking and other businesses, which he substantially restructured. He is on the board of the Japan Residential Investment Company. He was appointed to the board of Martin Currie Pacific Trust in August 2007.
