Patrick Gifford
Chairman of the board
Patrick Gifford spent thirty years with Robert Fleming and began investing in the Far East in 1970. He was a director of Robert Fleming Holdings from 1981 to 1998. At the end of his career with Robert Fleming he was in charge of their investment trust business. He is the chairman of Invesco Perpetual Select Trust, Murray Income Trust and Vtesse Networks and also a director of a number of other trusts and funds including JP Morgan Russian Securities and Tapestry Investment Company. He joined the board in 1999, and was appointed chairman in 2004. In accordance with good corporate governance, Patrick will offer himself for annual re-election.
